Anodization
Sequent offers cost effective anodizing options for your stamped parts. Anodization is an electrolytic process of increasing the thickness of the natural oxide layer on top of the metal surface to increase the hardness and wear resistance. Type 2 anodizing creates a very thin oxide layer which is largely decorative and can aid in corrosion resistance. Type 3 anodizing – also called as hard coat – has higher thickness levels (40 to 300 micron) and can improve the hardness and wear resistance greatly.
